Keeping fresh and natural ingredients in mind, I made a baked lemon Basa (a type of catfish) dish using several spices, oil and lemon.

What you’ll need:

  • 4 pieces of Basa
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • 1 tablespoon of rosemary (or, you can use oregano)
  • 1 lemon

What to do:

Step one: Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees.

Step two: In a medium sized bowl, season fish with oil, pepper, thyme, and rosemary. Rub seasoning onto both sides of the fish.

Step three: Place fish into into a baking dish.

Step four: Cut half of the lemon into thin slices and and place on pieces of fish.

Step five: Put baking dish in the oven for 10-minutes or until fish flakes away easily.

Step six: Once the fish is cooked through, squeeze other half of the lemon over the fish.

This recipe was one of the first I created on my own. My goal was to keep everything natural! The best part? This dish goes great with rice and steamed green beans.
