Cooking with Kaaleen: Naan pizza

Pizza! A crowd favourite. Not always the healthiest but always delicious. As usual, I try to make the best of both worlds – healthy and tasty – with a dash of super simple.

I am still learning how to cook so making my own dough would be like climbing Everest…hard! So, my cousin (who is a body builder/personal trainer) suggested I make pizza on naan bread.

Genious!

What you’ll need:

  • 1 portion of naan bread
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 2 tbsp of tomato sauce
  • 1/2 a cup of grated cheese
  • 1/2 a cup of spinach
  • 1/2 a cup of grilled chicken slices

What to do:

Step one: Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees.

Step two: Spread butter onto naan bread.

Step three: Spread tomato sauce onto the naan bread, making sure the full surface of the bread is covered.

Step four: Sprinkle cheese onto the pizza, covering the bread to the edges

Step five: Add the spinach evenly to the pizza.

Step six: Add the chicken pieces.

Step seven: Put pizza in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until cheese has melted and spinach has wilted slightly.

Step eight: Let pizza stand for three to five minutes and enjoy!

Not only is this recipe delicious, easy and healthy alternative, it’s also takes hardly any time at all! It’s perfect for those rushed days where there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done.
