Cooking with Kaaleen: Sweet, roasted pineapple


With summer finally showing her beautiful face, I am ready for sandals and floral sun dresses! Summer also calls for something sweet and fresh, so today, I have a very simple recipe you can eat all season long. Nom!

What you’ll need:

  • 1 pineapple
  • 1 tbs of brown sugar
  • ½ tsp of cinnamon

What to do:

Step one: Core and slice pineapple into ½ inch rings and place into baking dish.

Step two: Mix together sugar and cinnamon.

Step three: Sprinkle mixture onto pineapple slices.

Step four: Place under broiler, on top rack, for five to seven minutes.

Roasted pineapple is served best with meat, it is a great palate cleanser or just a delicious dessert that will impress company (and the most important thing – your belly).
