Cooking with Kaaleen: Pizza grilled cheese


ATTENTION ALL – APRIL IS NATIONAL GRILLED CHEESE MONTH. So, I am here to share my favourite recipe for grilled cheese.

I know, you’re probably thinking: “Hold up, Kaaleen! I already know how to make grilled cheese. I’ve been making it since I could walk!”

Yes! But have you ever thought to make a pizza grilled cheese?

What you’ll need:

  • 2 slices of your favourite bread
  • 2-4 slices of kraft single slices
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 1 tbsp of pizza sauce
  • 4- 6 slices of pepperoni

What to do:

Step one: Butter one side of each slice of bread.

Step two: Over medium heat, warm frying pan and place one slice of bread butter side down.

Step three: Spread pizza sauce on bread, add half the cheese and add pepperoni. Place left over cheese on top of the pepperoni.

Step four: Cover with other slice of bread with the butter side facing up.

Step five: Flip sandwich once bottom bread is golden brown, allow both sides to become golden brown (about three minutes each side).

Step six: Let sandwich stand and cool for one minute, cut sandwich in half (I prefer diagonally) and ENJOY!!

It is a great marriage that totally works! Crispy on the outside and soft gooey cheese on the inside plus the pepperoni. So delicious – because it’s a pizza in a grilled cheese. You’re welcome.
