I am just a bit of a choco-holic and I am obsessed with desserts. Any kind of desserts; tarts, brownies, cakes, cookies…you name it I’ll eat it. Now, when a friend of mine told me she made churros and it only took 10 minutes, I had to know how she did it!
Of course, when I made mine, I needed just a touch of chocolate. So I’d like to share with you: Sue’s baked churros (with a Kaaleen twist).
What you’ll need:
- 1 package of puff pastry sheets
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of cocoa
- 1/4 of melted butter
What to do:
Step one: Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Step two: Cut puff pastry in half and then into one inch strips.
Step three: Place strips on lightly greased baking sheet.
Step four: Bake puff pastry for 10 minutes.
Step five: While pastry is in the oven combine sugar, cocoa and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
Step six: Remove strips from the oven and dip into melted butter then roll in sugar mixture. Let the churros stand for five minutes or until mixture dries.
If you are okay with the amount of chocolate, enjoy our chocolate dusted churros plain. To take it up to the next level, try dipping the churros in chocolate sauce or chocolate spread. This will satisfy any sweet tooth and impress all chocolate lovers.
