Erica

IMG_8695I’ve been sitting in my apartment attempting to put my life into 300 words or less, trying not to bore you all, but making sure not to cross the fine line into vanity territory either. I will probably have marginally surpassed 300 words by the end of this introduction, so I suppose I should just start.

Firstly, I have come to these conclusions: I am not an expert in anything, I would say I know a little about a lot, I am still searching for answers, I strongly believe knowledge is the fruit of life and I’m simply a motivated and well-educated woman.

My name is Erica Howard and I am a 22-year-old Master’s of Social Work student. I am also recent graduate of the University of Guelph-Humber’s Psychology program. Honestly, I can’t remember a time where I wasn’t a student.

I’m a child at heart. I have a larger Disney collection than most 20-somethings do. That being said, I have been told I am incredibly mature for my age. I am a body positive activist and self-esteem enthusiast. I ensure I integrate this into my personal and professional life, especially through my social work practice.

I am a fashion, beauty, lifestyle and wellness blogger. I have spent the last year building my brand and vigorously attempting to integrate myself into the blogosphere. Feel free to check out my blog, here.

I have decided to expand my horizons in the hopes of reaching and impacting a broader audience. I have recently accepted a position as a contributor for DARE Magazine, Canada’s premiere curvy magazine. I am extremely excited to join the team of contributors of A Quarter Young to further expand my reach and generate positive change on the world around me.
