I like living in a world where love always wins, where the guy fights to get the girl and risks everything to be together. Even if it’s only for an hour or two, I like to live in that world. I have been a Romantic-Comedy junkie since I was young – I find them strangely comforting no matter what is going on in my life. For every mood, there is always a movie I can count on!

Here is a list of Rom-Coms to watch. We’ve organized the list based on when you should watch each movie. Enjoy!

You’re bored: These are the movies you can basically watch anytime. They will keep your eyes glued ’til the very last kiss.

  • 13 Going on 30
  • How to Loose a Guy in 10 days
  • Pretty Woman

You’re in love: It may seem like you could watch any Rom-Com when you’re in a lovey-dovey state, but these are the real heart melters!

  • The Holiday (My absolute favourite! For those who wish it was Christmas all day, everyday!)
  • When Harry Met Sally

After a break up: Although I highly recommended you get yourself right into a slasher/horror film to take the edge off, there are a few Rom-Coms I would give my seal of approval to that won’t end with your face in a tub of ice cream.

  • What If (My second favourite movie, ever! If this is your kind of humour, we would be great friends)!
  • John Tucker Must Die (Slasher gone Rom-Com is a must-watch)

You’re sick: Bed bound and a little high on cold meds, you need something that will bring your spirits up and make your tummy turn (but in the good way)!

  • Say Anything
  • Juno
  • Date Night

You’re pining over someone: That someone who makes you unable to stop biting your lip when you think about them, even though they may not know you’re alive. A girl can dream…

  • Sleepless in Seattle
  • You’ve Got Mail
  • 10 Things I Hate About You

I would love to hear what your go-to Rom-Com is and when you choose to watch it. Comment with a film that brings tears to your eyes or butterflies to your belly – or maybe both! #WeLOVERomComs!
