#SelfLoveSymphony is a campaign that spreads positivity and encourages us to find happiness in ourselves. When life is stressful and when every update on social media is about political unrest and unveiled prejudice, it’s hard to locate self-love, motivation and the time for wellness and good health.
Sure, there are new year’s resolutions that focus on making time for y-o-u, but these only come with temporary solutions (and a lot of pressure to be better, based on the standards of others). Self-love and self-care are long-term commitments and #SelfLoveSymphony encourages participants to share those practices, while also promoting their importance with others on social media.
Indeed, we need to unite and take action against this culture of hate, a culture in which so many marginalized groups have been living. However, if we’re not strong, how will we fight back? In order to kick ass, we must also focus on improving personal wellness.
In a world filled with darkness, we must remember that love conquers all and that small changes within ourselves and our own lives have the power to leave long-lasting impact for generations now and in the future.
WHAT: #SelfLoveSymphony will run on Twitter and Instagram throughout the month of February 2017, beginning on the first of that month. It’s a celebration of self-love and self-care with one purpose: to make positive noise.
HOW: Take and post photos of how you practice self-love and self-care. Then, hashtag #SelfLoveSymphony on Twitter or Instagram, while also tagging @AQuarterYoung. You will be entered into a draw to win one of 16 prizes. Winners will be announced on Twitter and Instagram, respectively, on March 1, 2017. Winners will be required to email A Quarter Young with their first and last name, so we can provide them their prize and connect them with our dedicated Giveaway Partners!
WHY: We want to get people talking about what makes them feel good, what keeps them motivated, what they practice in times of distress and how they continue to work towards making health and wellness the forefront of their success, strength and sovereignty. We want to flood the social media waves with positive messaging – but we can’t do it alone.
PARTNERS: #SelfLoveSymphony would not be possible without the support and dedication of our partners!
